Suzanne Etapa (Tack)

Obituary of Suzanne Marie Etapa Chassell Suzanne M. (James) Etapa, 71, a resident of Chassell passed away Sunday June 30, 2019, at home following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 6, 1947, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Robert and Frances (Kairne) Tack. As a child she moved with her family to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where she graduated from the Stranahan High School with the class of 1965. Suzanne attended Junior College before moving to Farmington, MI to work for Federal Department Store. On September 5, 1970, she was united in marriage to James D. Etapa. The couple moved to Ft. Lauderdale, F, where they raised their two daughters. Since 2009 they have made their home on the Paradise Rd., Chassell. Mrs. Etapa was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton. She had worked as a manager for Walmart while residing in Port St. Lucie, FL. Suzanne enjoyed shopping and going to lunch with her friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister and two brothers. Surviving are: Her husband James D. Etapa of Chassell Her daughters: Patrice (Ronald) Hazellief of Port St. Lucie, FL Karyn Etapa of Stuart, FL Her grandchildren: Tyler Waters, Gaven Hearndon, Kale Hearndon, Tanner Willing, & Madesyn Hazellief. A memorial service for Suzanne will be held 11:00 am July9th, 2019 at S.S. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church of Houghton with Rev. Aaron Gehrke to officiate.
