Thomas Dairo

Obituary of Thomas Allen Dairo Columbiana, AL Thomas Dairo, 44, a former resident of Calumet, passed away Sunday evening October 7, 2007 in Newton, Mississippi, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born on December 4, 1962, in Laurium, a son of the late Thomas Dairo and Donna (Hoyer) Grandchamp. As a child, he attended the Calumet Public Schools. Tom had also resided in Arizona, West Virginia and for the past 20 years made his home in Alabama. Mr. Dairo was a veteran having served with the United States Army. On April 7, 1990 he was united in marriage to the former Tracy Hardin and they parted as friends. Tom has been working as a builder for different construction companies in Alabama. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and a fan of hockey. Preceding him in death where his mother and step father: Donna and George Grandchamp, his father Thomas Dairo, an infant brother Michael, and a brother Mark. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday October 15, 2007, at St. Ignatius Loyola church of Houghton with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Calumet. Friends may call on Monday October 15, 2007 from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
