Tyne Mortti

Obituary of Tyne I. Mortti Tapiola Tyne I. Mortti, 94, a former resident of Tapiola, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility where she had been a resident patient for the past 12 years. She was born on January 12, 1912, in Painesdale a daughter of the late Isaac and Sophia (Laumiaho) Mortti. As a child she moved to Tapiola and had resided in the Tapiola area until becoming a resident patient in the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock. Tyne had done domestic work for Michael Messner for many years. Preceding her in death where her parents and a sister Sylvia Cline Surviving are: Several nieces and nephews Funeral services for Tyne will be held 11 A.M. this Wednesday May 3, 2006, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell with Rev. John Autio of the Mission United Lutheran Church of Pelkie to officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
