Obituary of Wallace Manninen Dodgeville Wallace "Copper" Manninen, 76, a resident of Dodgeville, passed away Monday morning, March 29, 2004,at the Kindred Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was born on March 21, 1927 in Dodgeville, a son of the late John A. & Kustaava (Kaarela) Manninen and attended the Houghton Public schools. He was employled by the Book Concern Printers as a youth, and latley until his retirement in the Smelter at White Pine. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Hancock, and the Bay Post #6028 V.F.W. of Dollar Bay. Surviving are: 1 Sister: Celia Kotila of Livonia 2 Brothers: Reino "Ray" Manninen a resident-patient at Stillwaters Community Elders Home in Calumet Donald Manninen of Spring Hill, Florida numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins Funeral services will be held Saturday April 3rd at 11 A.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Jimalee Jones to officiate. Spring burial to be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday April 2, 2004, from 4 to 8 P.M. and from 10 A.M. until till time of the services on Saturday. The Dollar Bay V.F.W.
