Obituary of Wallace E. "Buddy" Wiitanen Lake Annie Road Wallace E. "Buddy" Wiitanen, 60, died at his home Monday morning January 16, 2006. He was born in Hancock, on August 30, 1945, son of Andrew & Gwendolyn (Frost) Wiitanen. He graduated from Dollar Bay High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, on the U.S.S. Belknap. He worked at the Copper Country Dairy, then Portage View Hospital until retiring in 1999. On June 17, 1967 he married Patricia Hahka of Hancock. He was a devoted husband, loving father, & proud grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family & friends. He is survived by: His wife, Pat 4 Children: Terry, Gene, Brian (Brenda) & Cheryl, Grandchild: Peyton Wiitanen Nieces, Sheila (Shane) Kohl, Ariel Wiitanen, and Emily Wiitanen Nephew Kelly (Kim) Matson Mother-in-law: Evie Hahka Brother: Robert (Teresa) Wiitanen Sister-in-law: Pam (Mike) Matson Dear friends; Glen & Eeva Peroceschi Numerous aunts, cousins, & friends. Funeral services for Buddy will be held this Wednesday January 18, 2006, at 5 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral home of Hancock with Rev. Paul Marin to officiate. The Copper Country Veteran's Association will hold burial rites following the service at the Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.
