Obituary of Walter Harry Chassell Walter Clarence Harry, 72, passed away on Friday March 27th, 2015 at Clement J Zablocki Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin following a long term illness. Walter was born April 2, 1943 in Houghton, MI to Richard and Margaret (Corbeil) Harry of Hurontown, MI. He was married to Shirley Mattson on July 15, 1973, and had three children Peter, Richie, and Jen. He received his GED from HHS, then went into the US Merchant Marines for 4yrs. He then was employed at White Pine Mines for 2 years before moving to Detroit, Michigan. He was employed for 20 years with the Detroit Window Cleaners Local 139. He also trained as a motorcycle mechanic, and worked at Phil's Upholstery for 10 years. Walter loved the outdoors and being with his family. His other pastime was watching wrestling. Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard & Margaret Harry, his in-laws, Henry and Ida Mattson, his son Peter Clarence; his sisters Ginger Mech and Phyllis Haataja Surviving are: His wife- Shirley (Mattson) Harry His children: Richie Harry and Jen Taylor His grandchildren: Riley, Shelby and Faith His brothers and sisters: Richard Harry of Atlantic Mine, MI June Haataja of Houghton, MI Caroline (Fran) Koski of Abrams, WI Daniel Harry of Houghton, MI Roger (Sharon) Harry of Hurontown , MI Michael (Sandra) Harry of Atlantic Mine, MI Jerome Harry of Dearborn, MI Susan (Jeff) Samotis of Oscoda, MI Donald (Maryann) Harry of Appleton, WI Patricia (Earl) Dolan of Donken, MI Numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws A memorial service for Walter will be held 2 pm Wednesday April 8, 2015, at the Plowe Funeral Home of Houghton with Fr. John Martignon to officiate. Friends may call on Wednesday April 8, 2015 from 1 pm until time of services at the Plowe Funeral Home of Houghton.
